Community Housing

We support individuals to maintain their safety, health, happiness and accomplish daily living tasks and activities to their fullest potential. We promote independence, community inclusion and self-advocacy. These person-centred services encourage personal initiatives and choices so that individuals in our care may achieve the fullest possible independence and community participation according to their wishes.

What are adult community housing programs?

The Adult Community Housing Program currently consists of six residential group homes administrated by Vernon and District Association for Community Housing, a non-profit, community-based organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Our homes provide 24 hr, seven days a week support for residents in all areas of care, including recreation, personal care, social outings, nutrition, medical appointments, and more.
