Centralized Transportation Program
Thank you Kalamalka Rotary Club and the Community Foundation of North Okanagan for your assistance in purchasing a custom ProMaster van. This van gives us the capacity to transport more wheelchair-bound individuals than the smaller vehicles assigned to individual care homes and facilities.
Thank you as well to the Government of BC for a Community Gaming Grant that helps fund the operating costs of our Centralized Transportation Program.
Thank you patrons and staff of Davison Orchards!
We recently received $1,662 from donations at Davison Orchards - see the letter explaining how we received the donation
Tamra Davison, Marketing Director for Davison Orchards, presents the donations to Peter Ortman, Director of Finance for Venture Training.
Donation of Bicycles
Our Cycle Cycle program receives bicycles from the RCMP as well as community members who find abandoned bikes on their property or who wish to donate unused bicycles to the program.
If you would like to donate a bicycle to the Cycle Cycle program you may bring it to the facility located next to our e-waste recycling building at the address below.
For additional information on our Cycle Cycle program, please visit our recycling website. We thank you for your support!
Donation of Silent Auction Items
Our major fundraising event entering it's fifteenth year is the Celebration of Trees, which typically takes place on the last Thursday of November. It is always a good time for community supporters, participants and their families to come together to celebrate the season. We enjoy a delicious buffet dinner while unique art pieces and themed Christmas trees are auctioned. We also have a very lively silent auction as guests Christmas shop and jostle to get their bids down on the items they desire. We accept donated items from businesses and individuals year-round for the silent auction. Please contact us if you are interested in donating an item. We thank you for your support!
